So, you’re completely overwhelmed and overstimulated by your home environment.
You have no idea why this anxiety and stress won’t go away.
You feel like you don’t have enough time in the day to do ONE MORE THING.
You want to begin decluttering, but don’t know where to BEGIN?!

Try these 10 EASY tips that will take less than 20 minutes to complete.
1) CLEAR OFF COUNTERS NIGHTLY
Do you realize how STRESSFUL it is to wake up to messy counters?
Simple and quick solution!
Clear off your counters EVERY night.
Just do it!
Put everything back where it belongs- papers, mail, cups, toys, etc.
You will thank me.
2) HANG UP ITEMS RIGHT AWAY
Keep the clutter OFF the floors/counters by hanging up items right away.
As soon as you come in the door make it a goal to hang up all coats, book bags, purses, and keys immediately.
If you don’t have space for a drop zone- make your own!

Grab this hook rack to make your life easier. It works perfectly on the wall as you come in your door.
Don’t forget about your shoes! We love our shoe organizer.
Grab this awesome key hook. Never lose your keys again!
Your space will feel so much more organized!
3) CLEAN UP TOYS DAILY
Have the kids help with this one!
Set a timer and have clean up time.
Make a decision with your family to complete several clean up times throughout the day or once before bedtime.

Make it a game- see who can...
Clean up toys the fastest
Get the most toys put away
Pick up a certain number of toys
You decide the rules depending on your kids’ ages.
4) GET RID OF 3-5 ITEMS DAILY
If you’re feeling overwhelmed about decluttering your entire home.
Simplify it!
Make it a task to grab 3-5 items to donate/trash daily.
You know those items lying around…
Taking up space
Not needed/used
Broken/missing pieces
Expired
Duplicate items
Get rid of them!
5) CLEAN OUT YOUR CAR
Grab a trash bag and go to your car!

Throw away…
Food pieces
Wrappers
Trash
Broken items
Expired snacks
Toss it all immediately!
This can literally take less than 20 minutes if it’s uninterrupted time.
6) SET A TIMER & PICK A SPACE
Don’t know where to begin?
Grab the following:
Phone timer
Trash bag= trash
Box= donation items

Pick a SMALL space like a drawer, cabinet, or bin!
Set a timer for 20 minutes and get to work!
Do this without distractions/interruptions.
7) DONATE CLOTHING
Go through your dresser and/or closet and grab a trash bag.

Ask yourself these questions about each piece of clothing:
How does this make me feel?
Does it still fit?
Have I worn this in the last 6 months- 1 year?
Fill that trash bag up!
Don’t overthink this, just do it.
Place the bag in your car immediately to donate on your next outing.
Pro-tip: for maintenance keep a box in your closet to toss clothing for donation as you get ready daily. You can apply this to your children’s clothing as well.
8) CLEAN OUT JUNK DRAWER
You know that junk drawer that is overflowing and doesn’t have room for anything else?
Let’s fix that!

I bet there are old batteries, broken items, and more that can just go right into the trash can.
Empty the drawer of everything- set it ALL out!
Sort it
Trash the items immediately
Move the items that belong somewhere else
Organize items that are left in the drawer
9) TOSS EXPIRED ITEMS
Look at your pantry and fridge...
What's inside:
Expired items?
Leftovers?
Empty boxes/bags?
Wrappers?
Trash?
Throw it all away!
You can split this into two different time frames depending on the severity of your pantry and fridge.
You will be amazed at how much space you will have!
**The best time to do this is right before a grocery run!
Pro-tip: Take ALL the items out of the pantry or fridge for a more thorough decluttering.
10) CLEAN DISHES
Dirty dishes can be SO stressful.
To see ALL the mess and smell first thing in the morning.
Simple solution!

Every night clean out the sink of dirty dishes.
Either load and run the dishwasher or hand wash the items.
