If the holiday pressure is starting to build and you’re already feeling behind, you’re not alone. The shift into holiday mode can be overwhelming... especially for ADHD brains. But with a few intentional resets, your home can feel more functional and your season a little lighter.
In this episode, I’m kicking off a new four-part holiday mini-series to help you simplify the season, prep your home with less stress, and create space for what actually matters. You’ll hear a mindset shift to reduce pressure, three practical pre-holiday resets, and how I’ve personally shifted my approach to hosting with ADHD.
Why You Don’t Need a Deep Clean
If you’re pulling out decorations or prepping for guests and your brain is screaming “I have to clean everything!”... I get it.
You don’t need a spotless home to enjoy the holidays.
You just need a simple reset that supports you in this season.
Think of it like flipping the page to a new chapter. A reset helps clear out the mental and physical clutter, so the season ahead feels more doable. When you let go of perfection and focus on support, everything gets easier.
Three Simple Resets That Make the Biggest Difference
You don’t need a full home deep cleaning to feel holiday-ready.
These 3 things go a long way:
1. Prep the Space for Holiday Décor
Before pulling out decorations, choose where they’ll go. Clear the area, adjust furniture if needed, and give yourself a clean slate.
2. Simplify as You Unpack
As you open boxes, ask yourself:
Do I love this?
Does this feel cozy or just crowded?
Is this something I want to use this year?
Let go of anything that feels like “obligation décor.”
3. Create Guest-Ready Zones
Focus on spaces your guests will actually use:
A clear nightstand
Fresh towels in the bathroom
A quick kitchen or living room reset
These simple resets go a long way and they’re much more realistic than trying to overhaul your whole house.
Hosting Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect
When I asked my Instagram community what stresses them out most during the holidays, the #1 answer was hosting.
Not the cooking.
Not the shopping.
Just the pressure of people being inside their homes.
If you’ve ever thought:
“What if they judge my bathroom?”
“My kitchen looks like chaos.”
“I need to deep clean everything.”
You’re not alone.
✨ Remember: People are coming to spend time with you... not assess your cleaning skills.
If the kitchen is your biggest stressor, try my free 15-Minute Kitchen Reset. It’s a simple timer-based system that gives you a fresh start without needing a deep clean.

Small resets (not big overhauls) make the biggest difference.
Your home doesn’t need to be perfect to feel good this season.
